Applications

Taraz Metrology can offer a range of products for production or laboratory applications, with in-printer and freestanding system solutions available.

Metal AM Applications

Powder Beds (LBPF)

Taraz technology can be integrated within your Laser/Electron Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) printer to provide layer-by layer topography inspection of the powder bed before and after lasering or electron beam.

Our IRM™ software and fringe projection measurement technology delivers fast process monitoring as well as full build data capture capability.

Post-Fusion layers

Using the same in-printer technology developed for powder bed applications, we can provide layer-by-layer checks for build quality, unwanted artefact detection and laser performance.

A full data archive can be uploaded for process development and through-life monitoring purposes.

Final Inspection

Taraz technology can extract full surface measurements using both fringe projection and photogrammetry technology, delivering fast and accurate full-surface dimensional and texture information.

Final inspection tasks such as form tolerancing, de-powdering and support removal checks can be performed automatically using IRM™ software.

Polymer Applications

Process Development

Our laboratory systems can deliver high-speed full-surface measurements of polymer components without the need for targets or anti-reflective coatings.

Process parameters such as geometric distortion, missing material, surface texture and unwanted artefacts can all be characterised using our range of software analysis tools.

Post-Lasering layers

Post-processing is used in polymer additive manufacturing to achieve the desired cosmetic result following printing.

Taraz technology can be used as part of your production cell to provide surface texture and dimensional data to program, monitor and control post-processing systems.

Final Inspection

Taraz technology can extract full surface measurements using both fringe projection and photogrammetry technology, delivering fast and accurate full-surface dimensional and texture information, without the need for time-consuming component set-up.

Fast inspection cycle times provide efficiency gains for low-volume, high variety applications, e.g., printing bureaux.
